Good news: the bullies' free pass has been taken way (Employment Tribunal fees now unlawful)

We are very happy to announce that Employment Tribunal fees (of up to £1200) have now been declared unlawful by the Supreme Court.

This means that there is no longer a massive counter-incentive to seeking redress for a grievance beyond UCL's own internal processes and procedrues (Grievance Panel; Investigations; Disciplinary Panels).

It is the view of UCL UCU Executive Committee that UCL's internal processes are flawed and that our members have no guarantee of due process in these contexts. The ability to obtain redress from an ET without having to pay a prohibitive sum will give our members a more ready access to potential redress.

UCL UCU Officers.
